Christmas 2024
written by Chris JOhnston
As the winter evenings draw in, and the dropping temperatures force us to find those elusive coats and scarves, it can only mean one thing: CHRISTMAS is coming!! 🎄
Amidst all of the fun festivities that we can look forward to enjoying, at King’s Community Church we love the opportunity that Christmas affords us; to reach out and invite our friends, families and neighbours to come and join with us as we celebrate the good news of Jesus.
Think for a moment of those whom God has put on your heart to come to know him. What is it, above all else, that they need this Christmas? More so than just a feel-good time, a stocking-filler present, or nostalgic traditions, it is the life-transforming message of a baby King, the Son of God, born to redeem and restore the whole of creation that our friends across the Solent need to hear this Christmas.
So, as we meet together through our Christmas programme, we will come with expectancy and faith to encounter God in worship, to hear the truth and power of the Word of God as we open the bible together, and to see Jesus take centre stage every time we gather.
